PAWMENCAP

PAWMENCAP stands for Parents Association for the welfare of the of Mentally Handicapped Persons. Parents of Mentally Handicapped children were grouped, educated, doctrined and advised by National Institute for the Empowerment of persons with Disabilities (NIEPID), to form an association to administer and run Special Education cum Vocational TrainingCentre for their Mentally Handicapped children in 1988. A Parents association was formed and registered its aims and objectives with an elected body. With the guidance, advice and support of NIMHI and public the parents association (PAWMENCAP) started the special education, self-help skills training, academics, slow learning education and rehabilitation in PAWMENCAP since 1990.  BSB HDT is financially supporting Pawmencap towards implementing projects like:  Mayukha, Manokrushi, Manochetana and Saans for the Welfare of mentally handicapped children in the society where they learn to become self independent
